Hoooorraay! I know you go through hard time as I did.. but I left deaf group for a good from Oregon. and then moved to Washington new deaf community. It's kind of very different. I cannot stay Oregon who was my friends there. I keep want to forget about them,We are kind of oppoiste and different situation. I think your mom realized you are right person to involved with Deaf community. I hate Oregon where I left OSD for long time and was not forgive them much pretty long time. It was hurtful my heart. I thought I was not belongs. After 20 years, I finally contacted old friend from Oregon. They finally understand what's was happened. I am not hard of hearing and I really nearly profound hearing loss. Big deal? I confessed that I have good and bad reason to leaving OSD. Forgive it is hard to forgive them.Deaf Pixie
Hi B.A.D.,Wow, we are almost pretty much the same!! I had a hard time growing up to accept for who I am being Deaf because of my bad childhood. So for years, even with me going to Deaf schools during my high school years, I struggled to accept myself being Deaf. And then once I went to college, I rarely ever being part of Deaf community, etc especially in the past 10 years, I didn't get in any Deaf acitivities, etc. But, at that time.. I finally accepted for who I am because I decided it was time to move on and forget about the childhood, didn't want to let it get to me for the rest of my live. So, just early this year of March, I FINALLY got in touch with a lot of Deafies, joined Vlog world and more. It feels so good. That was one reason how I came up with "Seek" like I explained in the video about them would always said, finally I see you! Now, they get to see me everyday, ha ha. I am with you 100% that it feels GREAT to be part of Deaf world, I wish I would have never left long ago. But, I'm glad I'm back in better than never. :-)Hugs!-SG
Aye aye!! Ain't Deaf World the best? I laughed at your micheviousness, telling your mother about not loving you cuz you're deaf, oh please!! Lol!One of my older sister commented to me, about 4 years ago, when she met a bunch of Deaf people at one of my party, she was mesmerized/fascinated with my friends and our culture...that she wept. I asked her what's wrong, she replied, "I've never seen such a crowd that are having so much fun, so happy...you all are so phenomenal!" I was so blessed to hear my sister saying that, we hugged! You all ARE phenomenal!! Yeah, Deaf world CHAMP!! :-)
B.A.D.,Wow, I like your new blogspot! It's a good-looking blog!
Tender and passionate self-revelation, my friend.Yes, Deafread has had an incredible impact on the psyche and spirit of the deaf community everywhere.Your hat tip to them is well-given.~ LaRonda
I do mostly live in a hearing world today. I don't really like that very much but i don't have a choice. that why i do vlogs and join the deaf vlog family so i can be a part of deaf community... last time i was part of the deaf community was when i was in deaf schools like at ISD and NSD... i miss being part of a deaf community in the area... i always felt like i am the only deaf person in my whole town, when i volunteer, i am the only deaf person there but i am usually patient with it... that why i do vlogs and watch other deaf vlogs and join the family....

I m so happy you re back into deaf world! I probably never met you if you didnt! You def make the right choice! :) You know, it s never too late. I believe it s based on your childhood identity as hard of hearing and it affects your life transitioning to deaf identity which is not easy because you lived in both worlds. I m proud of ya! keep up that way! :)
I am SO glad you came back to Deaf World because it helps improving our friendship!XOOXLaurie
